Ministry in the Black Church/Civil Rights Immersion

May 15 - 22, 2023

The course/trip prepares students to understand and engage the Ministry of the Black Church in relation to the Civil Rights Movement historically and in its ongoing manifestations.

Dr. Michael Waters will be the instructor and group leader. Bus travel, hotel accommodations, two meals a day, and course materials are provided.

Travel Cost: $1,700/person. A single room supplement will be $500.00. A $600.00 deposit is due with this application. The remainder will be due on April 1st

GTE Travel Stipend Selection

Travel stipend grants are not related to other financial aid awards.

Travel stipends will be granted on the basis of need,

as determined solely by the student’s FAFSA information.

Students may request that their FAFSA be amended if it does not reflect their

current financial circumstances.

Travel stipend decisions may not be appealed.

I am requesting a travel stipend from the GTE program.

I understand that this may not cover the full cost of travel,

nor does it cover tuition and course fees.
