Waco Homeless Immersion

January 3 to 8, 2023. The course/trip prepares students to understand and engage in holistic urban ministry among the poor and marginalized; to help students learn to build networks among social service, civic, neighborhood, and various church groups; to sensitize students in asset based Christian community development and social justice; to deepen the student’s theological base for urban ministry; and to introduce students to “best practices” of urban ministry from around the nation. Students are expected to provide their own transportation must also pay their own tuition and fees. Hotel accommodations, meals, and course materials are provided. Travel Cost: $700.00/person. A single room supplement will be $500.00. A $200.00 deposit is due with this application.

Travel stipend grants are not related to other financial aid awards.

Travel stipends will be granted on the basis of need,

as determined solely by the student’s FAFSA information.

Students may request that their FAFSA be amended if it does not reflect their

current financial circumstances.

Travel stipend decisions may not be appealed.
