Bricks to honor or memorialize members of the SMU community

Friends of the SMU Libraries Endowment Fund

All funds from the purchase of bricks and pavers go to the Friends of the SMU Libraries Endowment Fund. This fund was established in 1992 to secure a permanent source of funds to enhance the budgets of the Southern Methodist University libraries, to allow the Friends of the SMU Libraries to provide continuous support not solely dependent on membership dues and to provide the staff necessary to support its activities. The Friends is committed to helping the libraries maintain their excellence. In the nearly 50 years since its founding, the Friends group has funded over $1,000,000 in library materials, services and equipment.

Price:  $250 for an engraved brick (two lines of text) in the Laura Bush Promenade at Fondren Library
